Acid Wash that is...Rihanna was spotted out and about in New York recently wearing this acid wash and lame ensemble. Even though every state on the East Coast has had blistering... hot... humid weather, she stills sizzles in this 80's throw back. Her stylist is a force to be reckoned with. He/She knows exactly what fits her body, what looks good on her, and what to put together to distract fans from her horrid music. No, really have we ever wondered what is it that keeps up drawn to this chic besides her beautiful eyes, modelesque height, cutting edge hair cuts and to die for ensemble. Oh yeah! She sings...That's my girl tho'.

While cruising the net, I stumbled upon yet another pair of designer inspired replicas. These are the YSL Leopard Tribute Peep Toe Pumps, that retail for about $675. The other is a designer inspired version by Bakers, the Emory retails for about $79.95. I don't know I think I must say that I have to go with the designer on this one. The quality of the replica doesn't even compare to the designer. Here is Megan good rocking a pair after her appearance on 106 & Park. She didn't do them much justice in this checkered ensemble. Paws off the 1st Lady...

Stylist are dying to get their hands on our soon to be first lady of the "Black House"(for my redneck Texas buddies out there). It is being speculated that Andre Leon Talley, you know the creator of that hideous ensemble worn by Jennifer Hudson to the 2008 Oscars Awards, wants to wrap his unsightly drapes around Michelle Obama. A host of designers have all expressed interest and fascination in the tall, slender presidential hopefuls wife. Designers from Zac Posen, Cynthia Rowley to Erin Fetherson and not exclude Vogue's Andre Leon Talley, all paid a $10,000 meal ticket just to share dinner with Michelle. All of whom were campaigning for Michelle Obama to bring them on as a stylist. I don't know, I think Mrs. Obama does okay on her own. She could do a little better you know, some suits more appeasing to the eye, but she just keeps it classic. There's no need for her to bring someone on board who can't even dress themselves. We wouldn't want to see our first lady make the same mistakes Jen Hudson made.

CAN U TELL DESIGNER OR INSPIRED?

Ever since the explosion of the Manolo Blahnik Timbs in 03', yeah you remember...Jay-Z and
Beyonce honorably mentioned them in the 03' Bonnie & Clyde track. After that there was not stopping the replicas from knock-offs to designer inspired artist such as Steve Madden (who in my opinion had the best replica). Well here we are in 2008 and designer studs are becoming much more expensive and much harder to find. Lets face it, ladies love shoes, handbags and clothing of all sorts, but most importantly shoes. Now unless your some type of Billion Heiress or a celebrity like Beyonce, Posh, or Rihanna and designers are shipping you their latest items for you to advertise, so that the millions of people in the world can go and take their everyday, 9-5, working wages to imitate, then a replica may be just down your aisle. Steve Madden has always been wonderful at making sure that the budget savvy diva doesn't look cheaply made when strutting her stuff. His designer inspired replicas are tasteful and affordable. The quality usually is about 99% as good as the original. The Steve Madden replica of the YSL tribute sandal is all the buzz right about now. They are great quality and just as good as the orignal. These I actually found at Forever 21 the other day. They are Chloe inspired and almost a close match, but not quite. The quality is not as good.
