VINTAGE FIND...

I found these wonderful 100% polyester high waist pants while thrifting. I wish I were able to fit them, they are so nice. They are marked a size 12 but they run extra small. Check them out at F'n Gorjess Ebay Store.

These pants make think of the 70's so much. If I ever had to live in another era it would be the 70's. The music was so soulful and people had a purpose, chivalry was still alive and relationships were much more than jumpoffs and friends with benefits, dating was considered courting. Give me a 69' Mustang, a Cola, a big ol nappy fro' and a Bobby Womack 8-track and I am in heaven!

Office Tramp...

Can't believe I wore a skirt to work today (it's just not something I normally do). I rarely ever, ever divulge the secrete layer of my Forever Tina, Beyoncesque legs lol. I am not really sure why I never, ever wear girly, feminine skirts to work (ok maybe I do know why). It's probably because when you do or I do in this case, people get all bent out of shape. They feel intimidated by, I hate to toot my own horn here but, a beautiful, sexy woman showing off her curves. I really only wore the skirt because I purchased these absolutely amazing zebra print tights from target! Since the weather is beginning to change I decided to go on and get some wear out of them. Oh boy you should have heard the snarls and whispers and seen the glares and side eyes of the office tramps. I am a woman comfortable in my own skin despite what flaws I may have, size I may be or perception others may have of me!

So I walked into the breakroom at work today and stumbled in upon some f'n good advice. "Because he entertains it", she said with in a jamaican accent. "Yeah but I just want to know who said it and if they don't know me why would they tell him that and why is my name in their mouth"? If that ain't the truth in 4 words I don't know what else is. Women, Ladies, Females, men entertain these ideas! It doesn't matter who told him, if he didn't show an interest in these fables "they" would not care to tell him. I feel sorry for the future of dating, marriage, courting, and male/female relationships. Ladies get in touch with your star player because the men are winning right now!

SKY HIGH PLATFORMS

I really, really love these platforms they are tres unique. I have had them for a while but was reluctant to wear them because people always looked at me like a giant freak when I wore them. I don't know, North Carolina is not really hip to the whole sky high platform thing yet. People are still wearing peep toes and cheap stilettos around here...ha ha jk. No but seriously, there is nothing more annoying than seeing a heavy girl with a super skinny stiletto, four inches high

and it looks like her ankles are about to flop and her heels are about to collapse. Ladies if this pertains to you than you will know because you can feel your ankles giving in. Oh and it happens to skinny girls too!

I thought I'd rock my Run DC Barack Obama Tee. Although, I just wanted to sleep the day away because of the weather, I have stupid exams and classes today. It would be nice to get away for Spring Break in a nice tropical climate, but at least I can head up to NYC for a little retail therapy instead. Yea Yea Yea...I was getting my Plus Size Cindy Crawford on OKAY!

DIY...Destructive Boyfriend Jeans

Everyone knows the trends in denim and jeans today is the new boyfriend jean, dawned by Katie Holmes, SJP, Megan Fox and many other celebs. Naturally, I am a hippy woman so I am not able to find as many pants in my size. I absolutely love the boyfriend jean because they are more relaxed than my usual skinnies. They also create a great edge to any outfit. You can pair them with a white v-neck tee and some platforms and look stunning in a careless sort of way. Some of you may also notice that the tags on some of these jeans are a little pricey and the less expensive brands have yet to release a more buyer friendly version. Here is a DIY tutorial of Destructive Boyfriend Jeans. I took a pair of my dad's old Levi jeans, I first took a razor and shredded the jeans to my liking. I then took a spray bottle of bleach and water and sprayed the jeans sparingly (be careful to use something to separate the front and back of the jeans, as I did not and it soaked thru to the back), I took some fabric paint, white first and squeezed all over. I took a sponge paint brush w/ water and dabbed all over the lines. I repeated the same with the black. I am waiting on my pyramid and dome studs to arrive to finish them!

Okay so do you remember when Carol's Daughter hit the seen and all us gals rushed out and bought all the products? Judging from some natural Youtube divas I am assuming that most of you were not all that impressed. Well imagine my surprise when I went to The Women's Empowerment event last weekend in Raleigh, NC. I stopped at this booth women were getting massages by two handsome guys and literally in tears. So I said to my mom and my friend maybe we should get one too! So we asked "how do we get a massage" ? The rep replied, " If you purchase $20 or more of the Pooka products you can head over and get a massage from the guys a Just 1 Touch". Which was amazing by the way! So I sampled a few body butters,pucker butters, some oils and bath pastries. Trust they have it all! Ultimately I fell in love with the Pooka Pure & Simple Pomegranate Body Butter and Bath Pastry. This stuff smells so good you can eat it (not recommended). My mom and I both purchased two each. Not only does it smell delicious but I have only been using it for a week and I can already tell a difference in my skin. I apply the body butter straight out of the shower, I apply a thin film all over and it leaves my skin so smooth. People can smell it all over me and they are like what is that you are wearing!
