Date Night...

Last night I went to the pre-screening of "Leap Year", starring Amy Adams, Matthew Goode, and Adam Scott among others. The movie was entertaining to say the least. If it wasn't for the fact that it was free and that Matthew Goode was one of the hottest Irish men ever, it would've taken paper clips to keep my eyes open. The movie did have its ups, the story line was the most enchanting love story and very comical. It just all seemed so simplistic and I guess I was expecting more. Other than that, it was an opportunity to get out and have some fun.

Tomorrow we're going to Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club which ought to be fun! Here is what I am thinking of wearing or something along these lines.

I just cannot believe how the girls from Making the Band just let that wonderful opportunity just slip right out of their hands *watching the finale*. Sad Sad situation...

I decided to get some where out of these comfy F21 rainbow harem pants. For some reason today I was just a clutz, I dropped everything that I intended to grasp in my hands. Anyone who has a pair of these pants I am sure has experienced that these are not the greatest pants for the Bend and Snap, because every time you come up you are then left with the deepest wedgie! Pooka Pure & Simple...

Okay so do you remember when Carol's Daughter hit the seen and all us gals rushed out and bought all the products? Judging from some natural Youtube divas I am assuming that most of you were not all that impressed. Well imagine my surprise when I went to The Women's Empowerment event last weekend in Raleigh, NC. I stopped at this booth women were getting massages by two handsome guys and literally in tears. So I said to my mom and my friend maybe we should get one too! So we asked "how do we get a massage" ? The rep replied, " If you purchase $20 or more of the Pooka products you can head over and get a massage from the guys a Just 1 Touch". Which was amazing by the way! So I sampled a few body butters,pucker butters, some oils and bath pastries. Trust they have it all! Ultimately I fell in love with the Pooka Pure & Simple Pomegranate Body Butter and Bath Pastry. This stuff smells so good you can eat it (not recommended). My mom and I both purchased two each. Not only does it smell delicious but I have only been using it for a week and I can already tell a difference in my skin. I apply the body butter straight out of the shower, I apply a thin film all over and it leaves my skin so smooth. People can smell it all over me and they are like what is that you are wearing!

Destiny's Step Child...

Ha ha...I posted these pics of me and my girls in South Beach this pass memorial weekend on my Myspace and my bf called us "Destiny's Step Child". It was too funny. I have been totally out of it since I got back. I've been too busy trying to catch up and get back to normality, that I forgot to post my Miami vacation pics for you guys. I had a great time and learned some life lessons while out there! haha! I got to vacate for a moment but now I'm back! Stay Tuned...

All Carrie Bradshaw fans, I know are ecstatic for the opening of Sex and the City. After a four year hiatus, the old gal gang is back. More chic, fashion forward, sexually enlightened and ready to hit the big screen. My favorite character I would have to say is Kim Catrell and then Carrie Bradshaw. I guess I will see some of you in line at theaters!

Racist Victory...

So the wicked witch of the west is taking victory in the state of West Virginia primaries. Recent exit polls show that 8 out of 10 West Virginians said that they would not and did not vote for Barack, based on race race alone...So to no one's surprise yesterday when World News reporter Charlie Gibson reported that Sen. Clinton was overwhelmingly beating Barack in the primaries by a huge margin, Did we not already figure that! Okay West Virginia is one of the most racist, hillbilly states in the country...I am surprised that we still actually count this state as a reliable source for such events. Yes opinions are like ass holes and every one has one ya da ya da ya da... But does this state or should this state have the right or say-so in determining who we want representing our country or even our citizens or better yet, YOU and ME! Furthermore, how does the candidate who is electing to represent YOU and I, celebrate and announce victory of the fact that SHE won the votes of racist and heartless, products of incest? I pose one question to the hearts of my fellow Americans...Do we really want the President of the United States of America, the candidate who is going to represent our voices and ideas, celebrating the victory of the mere fact that she won a state that did not acknowledge the party's platform or issues? Is this the "man" we want in office at 3 am...

While out and about skimming the sales racks looking for a little something extra, just felt like shopping today...I came across some great deals. I remember the first time I saw Kanye perform live...It was
four years ago. Usher was the headliner and Ye' was the opening act. Even then I knew that he was going to be a force to be reckoned with. He had an incredible stage presence even then. So now fast forward to 2008 and we have Rhianna, N.E.R.D., Pharrell and Lupe Fiasco...Hands down Kanye had the hearts of the crowd! For almost two hours he had the crowd screaming and chanting. His tribute to his mother, the late Dr. Donda West who died in November 2007, was so touching. All in all, anytime Ye's in town...I'm down!

YESTERDAY I FELT WAS SO PROUD TO HEAR THAT OBAMA HAD WON THE NORTH CAROLINA PRIMARIES. PARTICIPATION IN THE ELECTION PROCESS NOT ONLY INVOLVES VOTING...BUT ALSO MEANS GETTING OUT AND SHOWING SUPPORT. MAKING SURE THAT YOURS AND YOUR CANDIDATES VOICE IS HEARD AND RESPECTED. I HONESTLY HAD DOUBTS OVER THE WEEKEND WHEN NEW CONTROVERSIAL STATEMENTS WERE RELEASED BY REV. JEREMIAH WRIGHT...THANKFULLY HIS CRY FOR PUBLIC ATTENTION HAS NOT DETERRED THE AMERICAN VIEW OF OUR FUTURE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, BARACK OBAMA! MY YOUNGER SISTER AND I WAS OUT ALL DAY YESTERDAY WITH THE NORTH CAROLINA BARACK OBAMA HEADQUARTERS IN DOWNTOWN RALEIGH DOING OUR PART IN MAKING SURE THAT VOTERS HAD THE RIGHTS AND CAPABILITIES TO VOTE. WHAT I FOUND MOST INTERESTING ABOUT THIS PROCESS IS THAT IT PROVES STATISTICS RIGHT AND HOW THEY WORK. THE LOWER INCOME, LESS EDUCATED, MINORITY DEVELOPMENTS WERE LESS LIKELY TO GET OUT AND VOTE...SOME FOR MINOR REASONS. HOWEVER, I AM SO PROUD OF MY CIVIL WORKS (PEEP THE PICS) AND THE WORKS OF ALL OF YOU WHO ARE HELPING THIS GREAT CANDIDATES EXCEL FAR BEYOND EXPECTED! HILLARY SIT DOWN!
