Introducing...Melody Ehsani

Can I get a drum roll please! Not only is it about damn time I posted a new entry, but I'd like to introduce Persian native, designer Melody Ehsani. She designs the hauteness in accessories from jewlery to footwear. From the moment I spotted a post of Kelis rockin' an oversized pair of gold 80's inspired earring, I had to know who was responsible for the creation of an immaculate construction. So just the other day, I am at work surfing as if I have nothing else to do (Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I'm back in the workforce now, which is the reason behind the absenteeism, another post tho') and I ran across yet another post from my peeps over at Concrete Loop addressing concerns about the earrings Kelis was wearing. Mel has an array of celebs following suit from Nas, Rihanna, Alicia Keys and more. Anyway I personally ordered the personalized 3-finger ring plate and of course the Kelis earrings!!! And my girl Mel know how to give back to a cause, a portion of the proceeds from each portion goes to furthering the education of young women, so show some support.

So here we go again, whilst surfing the Internet for some 4th of July threads to rock on my vacation to D.C., I came across these Givenchy replicas from none other than our fav' designer inspirationalist (I know, I made it up hehe), Steve Madden. Acid Wash that is...Rihanna was spotted out and about in New York recently wearing this acid wash and lame ensemble. Even though every state on the East Coast has had blistering... hot... humid weather, she stills sizzles in this 80's throw back. Her stylist is a force to be reckoned with. He/She knows exactly what fits her body, what looks good on her, and what to put together to distract fans from her horrid music. No, really have we ever wondered what is it that keeps up drawn to this chic besides her beautiful eyes, modelesque height, cutting edge hair cuts and to die for ensemble. Oh yeah! While cruising the net, I stumbled upon yet another pair of designer inspired replicas. These are the YSL Leopard Tribute Peep Toe Pumps, that retail for about $675. The other is a designer inspired version by Bakers, the Emory retails for about $79.95. I don't know I think I must say that I have to go with the designer on this one. The quality of the replica doesn't even compare to the designer. Here is Megan good rocking a pair after her appearance on 106 & Park. She didn't do them much justice in this checkered ensemble. Paws off the 1st Lady...

Stylist are dying to get their hands on our soon to be first lady of the "Black House"(for my redneck Texas buddies out there). It is being speculated that Andre Leon Talley, you know the creator of that hideous ensemble worn by Jennifer Hudson to the 2008 Oscars Awards, wants to wrap his unsightly drapes around Michelle Obama. A host of designers have all expressed interest and fascination in the tall, slender presidential hopefuls wife. Designers from Zac Posen, Cynthia Rowley to Erin Fetherson and not exclude Vogue's Andre Leon Talley, all paid a $10,000 meal ticket just to share dinner with Michelle. All of whom were campaigning for Michelle Obama to bring them on as a stylist. I don't know, I think Mrs. Obama does okay on her own. She could do a little better you know, some suits more appeasing to the eye, but she just keeps it classic. There's no need for her to bring someone on board who can't even dress themselves. We wouldn't want to see our first lady make the same mistakes Jen Hudson made.

Ever since the explosion of the Manolo Blahnik Timbs in 03', yeah you remember...Jay-Z and
Beyonce honorably mentioned them in the 03' Bonnie & Clyde track. Destiny's Step Child...

So the wicked witch of the west is taking victory in the state of West Virginia primaries. Recent exit polls show that 8 out of 10 West Virginians said that they would not and did not vote for Barack, based on race race alone...So to no one's surprise yesterday when World News reporter Charlie Gibson reported that Sen. Clinton was overwhelmingly beating Barack in the primaries by a huge margin, Did we not already figure that! Okay West Virginia is one of the most racist, hillbilly states in the country...I am surprised that we still actually count this state as a reliable source for such events. Yes opinions are like ass holes and every one has one ya da ya da ya da... But does this state or should this state have the right or say-so in determining who we want representing our country or even our citizens or better yet, YOU and ME! Furthermore, how does the candidate who is electing to represent YOU and I, celebrate and announce victory of the fact that SHE won the votes of racist and heartless, products of incest? I pose one question to the hearts of my fellow Americans...Do we really want the President of the United States of America, the candidate who is going to represent our voices and ideas, celebrating the victory of the mere fact that she won a state that did not acknowledge the party's platform or issues? Is this the "man" we want in office at 3 am...

four years ago. Usher was the headliner and Ye' was the opening act. Even then I knew that he was going to be a force to be reckoned with. He had an incredible stage presence even then. So now fast forward to 2008 and we have Rhianna, N.E.R.D., Pharrell and Lupe Fiasco...Hands down Kanye had the hearts of the crowd! For almost two hours he had the crowd screaming and chanting. His tribute to his mother, the late Dr. Donda West who died in November 2007, was so touching. All in all, anytime Ye's in town...I'm down!

MAKING SURE THAT YOURS AND YOUR CANDIDATES VOICE IS HEARD AND RESPECTED. I HONESTLY HAD DOUBTS OVER THE WEEKEND WHEN NEW CONTROVERSIAL STATEMENTS WERE RELEASED BY REV. JEREMIAH WRIGHT...THANKFULLY HIS CRY FOR PUBLIC ATTENTION HAS NOT DETERRED THE AMERICAN VIEW OF OUR FUTURE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, BARACK OBAMA! MY YOUNGER SISTER AND I WAS OUT ALL DAY YESTERDAY WITH THE NORTH CAROLINA BARACK OBAMA HEADQUARTERS IN DOWNTOWN RALEIGH DOING OUR PART IN MAKING SURE THAT VOTERS HAD THE RIGHTS AND CAPABILITIES TO VOTE. Saturday Night Live...

Bridge and I went over to a b-day cookout for some friends, that they were having at the park. Afterwards, we went to the Katt Williams, It's Pimpin' Pimpin' concert. She was so overwhelmed that when he came on stage blasting Jay-Z, she ran to the front of the stage and remained there until the end of his set. The show was okay...he's a funny dude, but it wasn't side cracking. The show openers where definitely hilarious. Other than that we saw every dude all coupled up for the event. Giving us hope that relationships do exist more so than cut-buddies (sike)...but that's another post. All in all we had a good time.
